Hotels and apartment towers along La Manga

Where to Stay in Cabo de Palos

The village, the strip or the city: three bases, three different holidays.

Cabo de Palos itself has very few hotels; most visitors rent apartments or stay in the first kilometres of La Manga, which begin where the village ends. That shapes the choice.

Stay in or beside the village if you are diving, want to walk to restaurants and prefer a quieter atmosphere. Choose La Manga for pools, beach hotels and family facilities. Pick Cartagena if you would rather have a city in the evenings and drive to the coast. All links below go to Trip.com for live rates and availability.

Booking tips

  • August books out. Reserve months ahead for the village and the first kilometres of La Manga.
  • Check opening dates. Many La Manga hotels close from late autumn until around Easter.
  • Ask about parking. In the village it is scarce; on La Manga most hotels have their own.
  • Which sea? On La Manga, check whether the hotel faces the Mar Menor (calm, warm) or the Mediterranean (clearer, with waves).
  • Divers: ask your dive centre whether it has rinse and storage facilities, so you need not carry wet kit back to the hotel.

Apartments and holiday homes are plentiful in Cabo de Palos and often the most practical choice for a week; the area links above include them.
